Quick Snap: F22 BMW M235i on VMR VB3 Wheels

The F22 BMW M235i offers a powerful engine sending the oomph to the rear wheels in a small car body in traditional BMW fashion, as we mentioned in our Best Mods for BMW M235i / F22 2-Series guide, but oddly enough, we haven’t seen too many of the F22s on any aftermarket 2-series wheels around SoCal – though we’d love to see that change. This is one of first F22’s we’ve seen rocking a set of VMR wheels thanks to Sr Mod Expert Alan Wei and this customer just happened to be stopping by for an alignment, making for a great opportunity to get some photos.

This is the first 2-series we’ve seen on classic VMR VB3/V703 Wheels for BMW in 18×8.5 / 18×9.5 wrapped in sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

This shot captures the flame surfacing in the car’s contours perfectly; I hadn’t really seen what Chris Bangle had been on about with BMW design language in the early 00s, but today, the way the cars look with the classic Hofmeister kink, the V710 wheels seem a perfect match.

Even in motion, these wheels look great thanks to the concavity of their design to give the car a classically “BMW” look.

And here’s how the car looks stationary in the light. We apologize, as it was as dark out as this car’s paint color the day we shot these, but it didn’t take away from the car’s aesthetic at all.
