A couple weeks back we had our customer Vince bring his 2018 BMW G30 540i in for some fresh new shoes. His 540i already looked pretty mean when it came in thanks to its M Performance styling, but with its new set of Forgestar F14 it looks downright menacing. His car is yet another example of how you don’t need a two page list of mods for your car to look amazing.
The Forgestar F14s he went with are a gorgeous brushed aluminum finish with double dark tint that gives them a nice contrast with the white of the car and a much more aggressive look than the factory silver wheels. The sizes he went with are a 20×9.5 ET28 Deep concave in the front with a 20×10.5 ET33 Super Deep Concave in the rear to give it that mean staggered look that BMWs love.
For tires Vince went with a set of Falken 512s in 255/35R20 in the front and 285/30R20 in the rear, which is a slight bit wider than stock while still giving enough clearance from the fenders. The reason this tire size was important is because the car is equipped with some H&R Sport Springs that provide a 1.4″ drop in the front and a 1.3″ drop in the rear. When lowering a vehicle it is important to keep fender clearance in mind when choosing tires, and the aforementioned sizes were selected in conjunction with the wheel sizes to give the best look possible without risking rubbing.
To give the 540i a bit more of an imposing presence it is fitted with a Remus Tuning Quad Tipped Exhaust System. This gives the car a much nicer exhaust tone to help it stand out from the crowd and make it more enjoyable to drive. It serves the secondary purpose of giving a wider look to the back of the car. With four 102mm stainless steel angled exhaust tips the M Performance rear bumper is filled out nicely and looks very aggressive.
This car is undoubtedly very striking and eye-catching. What is equally impressive is how simple (not cheap mind you) the mod list is and how great the car looks compared to a stock 540i.
