There’s nothing that makes a Focus ST look awesome like a set of wheels and a drop – and a few weeks back, Trevor B brought his ST in to do just that.
Trevor B brought his Focus ST into the shop a few weeks back to install his new ST Suspensions Coilovers and mount and balance the Enkei RPF-1’s for Focus ST. Specd out at 18×8.5 ET40 with 235/40-18 Dunlop Direzzas, this wheel and tire combo both saves weight and offers great handling performance.
To achieve the drop Trevor was after, we installed a set of ST Suspensions Coilovers for Focus ST – contrary to the misconception that “coilovers are just for track guys”, Coilovers can be great on daily driven cars like Trevor’s. ST Coilovers have moderate valving that delivers a compromise of both sharper handling and preserving good ride quality.
Here’s how the front coilovers look installed. The brakes have been upgraded with a Stoptech Front and Rear Slotted Rotors + StopTech Brake Pads, enhancing response of the Focus ST brakes dramatically.
A MillTek Non-Resonated Sport Exhaust for Focus ST has also been installed, giving the car a unique sound that’s aggressive yet not too loud to live with in a daily driver.
From this angle, you can see the Steeda Rear Sway Bar as well as the ST Coilovers, and the full length of the Milltek Exhaust.
Up front, a CXRacing Front Mount intercooler hides behind the lower grille, allowing the COBB AccessPORT with custom tune by STRATIFIED to smarten up the car to make significantly more power than stock. Freeing things up even further is a CP-e Catless Downpipe, making this a proper “Stage III” Focus ST.

After installing the suspension, we just had to mount the wheels and tires.
