This is an article from back in the day, but somehow never made it up onto our blog. This Fiesta ST came into the shop to be fitted with what was then the largest Intercooler that would fit in the Fiesta ST, the Mishimoto J-Line FMIC.
Being a heavy and rather massive core, supporting such a beast was a bit of a challenge, so we had to come up with something to keep the heavy core supported. While less than pretty, it works quite well for supporting the FMIC’s weight. Either way, the Fiesta ST Performance is dramatically improved with a larger intercooler and in the pursuit of speed, sometimes we do what must be done.
The black powdercoated finish of the Mishimoto J-line FMIC blended in well and disappears behind the OEM lower grille for a stealthy look.
