It’s no secret that here at the Mod Auto Garage, we’re big fans of the E82 1-Series – we played host to 1Fest, the biggest gathering of 1’s on the west coast, and so it’s only natural we’re fans of the 2-Series as well. Recapturing the spirit and fun of the pure driving experience created by a powerful and nimble little canyon carver, the M235i is everything you could ask for in a proper successor to the 1-series and heir to the throne of the 2002tii turbo’s throne. One of the few things that could use improvement though, are the factory wheels- which is precisely why Kevin Chambers brought his M235i Xdrive 6MT to see Mod Expert Robert Kochis (aka STAYCRUSHING) for a new set of wheels.

As we said in our guide to the Best Mods for the F22 M235i & 2-Series, a new set of wheels for F22 BMW 2-Series can really give the car the sort of character it should have. The trick with getting wheels for the 2-Series is that it requires extremely high offsets, which can make getting a set of wheels a bit of a challenge. This was no problem for Mod Expert Robert, who specializes in custom fitment wheels.

Since each set of Forgestar wheels is custom-machined to every individual car, rather than just a generic “one size fits all” fitment, a set of Forgestars was an ideal solution. Robert had a custom high-offset set of gunmetal Forgestar F14 Wheels for M235i in a 19×8.5 / 19×9 high offset fitment, wrapped with sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires.

The sporting design really brings out the character of the car, and the wheels fill out the wheel arches perfectly without the need for spacers. It gives the car’s stance a bit of beefy flair.
