Earlier this week our customer Marco M brought his F10 535i out to our shop for an install. He had previously purchased some H&R sport springs from us to give his car a more aggressive stance and get rid of some nasty factory fender gap. However, lowering was just part of what Marco wanted to change, and he recently brought his car in to complete the look.

Even lowered with the oem wheels the car was already looking much better than stock, but this owner knew he wanted to stand out and show he means business. Marco M is an enthusiast who is no stranger to modifying his vehicles. He has restored and supercharged a VW beetle and even restored a classic mustang , so when he said he wanted an aggressive fitment fitment on his new wheels we didn’t try to stop him.

In the end he decided on the HRE FF04 in Liquid Metal with a 20×9.5 ET20 in front and a 20×11 ET43 in the rear. This is slightly more aggressive than the 20×9 ET25 front 20×10 ET40 rear that HRE recommends, but Marco wanted a bit more concavity and a wider stance. HRE’s Liquid Metal finish is also a departure from the norm in that it is a much darker and glossier finish, more akin to a light gunmetal rather than standard silver. Marco worked closely with our Mod Expert Elliot to achieve the perfect look and fitment for his vehicle.

Another reason we’re excited to share this vehicle with you is because this is a world first pairing of the BMW F10 with the HRE FF04s. We’re always looking to expand our knowledge base and have the best information available to share. When one of our customers wants to try a wheel that hasn’t been run by anyone before we love the opportunity to document and share the look and fitment with our fellow enthusiasts. The results really speak for themselves, the car looks fantastic and really shows that it belongs to a true enthusiast.

In addition to HRE wheels and H&R suspension, Marco also has the BMW Performance Exhaust for a more aggressive look and sound. What do you think he’ll change next? We’re excited to find out!

Wheel and tire recommendation from HRE:

Front: 20×9 ET25 – 245/35/20

Rear: 20×10 ET40 – 275/30/20
