We love the W204 C63 AMG here, so much so, that Co-Founder Ron even had one himself (albeit for a short time before it got totaled in a heartbreaking parking lot fender bender) – so when Manse hit up Mod Expert Sean about a set of HRE Flow Form Wheels for his, we were on it like white on rice.
H&R Springs Installed
Wheels only look their best if you’ve dropped the suspension to match, so we’ve eliminated the excess wheelgap by ditching the 4×4 ride height of the stock springs in favor of a set of H&R Sport Springs for Mercedes C63 AMG, which drops the ride height .75in both front and rear for a more even balance.
The next step was the wheels from HRE Flow Form.
Sean recommended a set of HRE’s Flow Form FF15 Wheels for Mercedes Benz, spec’d out in Tarmac Black for a sharp contrast to the car’s white exterior and in a tasteful 19in fitment, 19×8.5 ET47 up front and 19×9.5 ET45 out back. While the Michelin Pilot Super Sport has long been the darling of performance car enthusiasts, Sean opted to recommend the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which replaces the Super Sport with an all-new, even better performing tire.
Then to dial up the aggression and better key into Tarmac Black of the FF15s, we then installed a Big Fin Style Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser for C63 AMG to dress up the rear end, which matches the Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler as well.
After a quick test drive, we then did an alignment to dial in the suspension with the H&Rs.
The overall effect is incredible, the car looks stunning and seems to be flexing every one of the 500 horses it has under the hood even sitting still. It looks like it wants to go fast. With the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted, this thing will perform better than ever – the new Pilot Sport 4S offers dramatically improved road-holding mid corner as well as sharpened wet-weather response.
All of this translates to one incredible car.
Check it out for yourself in the gratuitous photo gallery below.
With the car lowered and on a great set of wheels, this is one C63 that stands out like an Imperial Stormtrooper in a crowd. It looks MEAN.
With a little help from Mod Expert Sean, Manse’s C63 now looks intimidating enough to be the First Order’s next super weapon. We hope you enjoyed the photos! Thanks for joining us, see you next time!
