A while back this white 981 Porsche Boxster S came to see the Mod Experts here at ModAuto about a new set of wheels for 981 Boxster to replace the rather sorry looking rolling stock that comes on the car fresh out of Stuttgart. To bring out the best of the 981’s natural contours, we went with a the bold lines of a set of Ruger Split Wheels for Porsche.

Available in several finishes, we opted for Hyper Silver to help retain that classic signature Porsche look. The end result is beautiful and understated, giving the car the look it should have had stock.

In the rain, the wheels looked great, but that wasn’t all we had in store for this Boxster. Beyond the wheels, the next thing people notice about a car is its exhaust – and an upgraded Exhaust for 981 Boxster was precisely what we had in mind.
Since the Boxster is a roadster, you’re going to hear your exhaust note clearly every time you put the top down, and top down operation is like, half the point of a Boxster – so it’s important that you get a sound you’ll love form your flat six. Offering a 10lb Weight Reduction over stock (aft of the rear wheels by the way) and a much improved rear end aesthetic with jewel-finished oversize 102mm exhaust tips, the Fabspeed Maxflo Exhaust for 981 Porsche Boxster and Cayman delivers exactly what we’re looking for.
Here’s how everything came right out of the box – the MaxFlo exhaust from Fabspeed is available with your choice of Polished Silver, Black Chrome or Carrera GT style tips to suit your taste. We’ve opted for the Black Chrome tips to give the Boxster’s rear end a bit of contrast.
Fabspeed‘s dual can system replaces the heavy stock exhaust and secondary catalytic converters, uncorking that sexy flat six for a sonorous exotic tone.
The fantastic sound and great looks are by no means all that the Fabspeed Maxflo Exhaust for 981 Porsche Boxster has to offer- that enhanced exhaust flow and removal of restrictions also translates to a rather nice 13 horsepower and 13ft/lb of torque gain at the rear wheels – meaning you’ll not only sound better than the next guy in a Boxster S, but also blow his doors off when the stoplight turns green.
