The BMW 4-Series platform has gained huge attention and notoriety since its split from the coupe 3-series. The 4-series is noticeably more aggressive with its side fender vents, slightly more aggressive body-lines, and its refreshing, new front and rear bumper in comparison to the 3-series. Since its release in 2014, the BMW community has definitely gotten hands-on in regards to modifying the 4-series, taking the car into a completely different playing field. Plenty of aero parts have been produced for the car, as well as performance  and suspension parts (check out our “Best 5 mods for BMW 435i & 428i” post if you want more information regarding modifying your 4 series!), but nothing speaks more than having a new set of wheels. Having a new set of wheels is a statement for your car, and provides an aggressive, sporty feel that stock wheel can not offer. It helps provide your car with that personal touch, making it your own and setting you aside from all the other 4 series on the road.

I have compiled a list of the top 5 wheels based on quality, reputation, and popularity for the BMW 4-series.  As a 435i owner, this list has been made with a 4-series owner in mind and I would happily run any of these wheels on my car.

#5. VMR V803

The VMR V803 is a great wheel option for your 4 series. VMR has an exceedingly large following among the BMW community, and are known for their traditional European-inspired designs. The V803 is a magnificent option, featuring the bold, five V-Spoke design which fits perfect with the bold body on the 4 series. When fitted with a large width it gives the car the perfect amount of fender well fill, giving it that mean stance that compliments the 4 series tough demeanor. VMR offers both gunmetal and silver, giving you two awesome options to work with whether you want that sporty aggressive look, or the clean and orderly appearance. If you are looking for a bold design, backed by the quality of a flow form wheel, then the VMR will be a fine choice to keep in mind.BMW F32 VMR V803

#4. Vorsteiner VFF-103

Vorsteiner, a company that started in creating aero parts for European vehicles, has an interesting flow form wheel line, and the VFF-103 is among one of the wheels within the line that has caught my interest. The aggressive split spoke design and intricate grooves lain within the spokes compliments the sharp lines located along the panels of the 4 series. The VFF-103 comes in several different color, giving you different options on how you want to stylize your set and your car.  They are also flow formed, which, as mentioned earlier, allows for a light-weight, yet very durable wheel. The VFF-103 is definitely an option to keep in mind for any 4 series owner.BMW F32 Alpine White Vorsteiner VFF-103 Carbon Graphite

#3. Sportline 8S

Sportline is a company that utilizes classic motorsport designs, and perform magnificently for all usage, whether its track or just daily driving. They are a newer company so they may not have as high of a reputation as other wheels on this list do, but they are on this list for a reason. With that being said, the Sportline 8S is another fabulous choice for the 4 series. The design pays homage to the classic European mesh design that are very popular on all BMW platforms and looks great on the 4 series platform as well. The 8S also adds a slight twist to the already classic look by offering different levels of concavity, giving you variety in deciding which style suits you best. The wheels come in three different clean colors (gunmetal, matte black, and silver), giving you options on how you want to style your vehicle. The split 8-spoke is definitely compliments the car and its aggressive features, and is attractive to both enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. Sportline also employ the same flow form technology, so you know the light weight performance and durability is there. All in all, a classic wheel with a timeless design that will never go out of style with high quality aspects, you cannot go wrong with these wheels in your arsenal.

**Also, Sportline has just recently released its 7S model. The 7S might be the lightest wheel in their line while maintaining its traditional strength and durability. It has a split 7 spoke design that also looks great on the 4 series and the same color options as the 8S. Check them out here!**

#2. Forgestar F14

Forgestar as a company managed to revolutionize affordable quality flow form wheels, and were one of the first companies to offer full customization of fitments and finishes in an affordable package in comparison to custom forged wheels. The Forgestar F14 is a very popular wheel among E92 (2007-2013 3-series coupe) owners, and fits very well with the 4 series body. The split 7 spoke design provides a mean and aggressive appearance that turns the heads of everyone when seen. It also utilizes flow form technology, so it has the light weight performance alongside high durability and strength. The F14’s also have the deepest concavity of any wheel. The deep concave option also allows for a more aggressive appearance when paired with the super deep concave in the rear. With a wide variety of options, from concavity, widths, colors, etc., Forgestar really lets you fully customize your wheels to fit your style. The Forgestar F14 is definitely a viable option for not just 4 series owners, but all BMW owners, and should definitely be on anyone’s list when shopping for wheels.

#1. HRE FF01

Last but not least is the HRE FF01. HRE is like the creme of the crop of the wheel industry, a flagship of wheels. HRE is a renowned company with a rich history in creating quality wheels for the true enthusiast. Their Flow Form line consists of very strong wheels that has strength comparable to that of a forged wheel, while retaining a very light weight. The flow form being within a very reasonable price point allowed me to look at these over their forged line of wheels. The classic mesh mixed with slight concave compliments the 4 series new body styling and gives the car the extra “pop” needed to stand out among all the other 4 series on the road. The color options between liquid silver or tarmac black provides the option for either a true, sporty appearance or a very clean, subtle look. One of the most appealing features the Flow Form wheel offers is a very reasonable price point for most 4 series owners. All of HRE Flow Form wheels (FF04 and FF15) will look great on any 4 series, and if this were a top 7 list all their wheels would probably be on this list, but since it is a top 5 the FF01 takes the cake with its traditional and classic look, helping it landing its spot on this list. To wrap it up, I compiled this list using flow form wheels because as stated earlier, for the quality and durability you are getting for the price, it is simply the best value money can get when shopping wheels.
