From the moment you set eyes on it, it’s obvious that this ain’t no average Ford Focus. Even among Focus STs, this thing is a monster all its own. This is the Ford Focus ST TrackSTer styled by fifteen52. While we can tell you all about how to mod your Focus ST, there’s some amazing one-off stuff on this car that money just can’t buy, which makes it all that much more badass.
As if the mountune lettering across the Mountune Intercooler for Focus ST weren’t clear enough, the forged Fifteen52 Tarmac custom 19s drive the point home that this is not by any means your average car. Built as one of three for SEMA, the fifteen52 TrackSTer emphasized a trackday monster that was still street capable, and the trackster cranked up the already rowdy EcoBoost engine to a whalloping five hundred horsepower.
Everything about this car is unique to it, unlike any other ST on the road in the United States, even three years since its original debut in 2013. The dual exit exhaust has a totally different configuration than every other stateside Focus ST, exiting on either side rather than in the center with a pair of DTM style tips and mufflers tucked into an integrated diffuser.
The Rallycar influence is obvious, with a big RS Wing for Focus ST and Hoonigan markings straight from Ken Block giving the Focus ST exterior its own unique character.
Here’s a side profile. The dual exhaust setup is a custom job by Milltek with a matching diffuser.
Those forged Tarmac wheels are just so badass.
The factory recaros have been replaced with a set of even more badass Recaro seats complete with Sparco Racing Harnesses.
Under the custom vented hood is a rather unexciting looking EcoBoost 2.0L, as with most Focus ST’s and Fiesta ST’s, all the exciting stuff isn’t visible, like the chargepipes, downpipe and bigass turbocharger.
Side by side with a normal Focus ST, the difference is night and day.
With the comparison out of the way, we had a meet to set up for – after all this car wasn’t here for nothing – we brought this beast out of hibernation for its first public outing in more than two years.
We just couldn’t get enough of how damn good this thing looked.
Technically, I have a handicapped placard, so parking my “car for the day” here for the show was fine.
As the crowd poured in, people were loving seeing this thing.
It’s always special when you get to see a car you’ve only seen in photos in real life.
In the background, you can see the diversity in the cars who came out for our fifteen52 x ModAuto meet.
This beast made an awesome meet even better; thanks to fifteen52 for loaning it to us for the day.
As we got ready to send the car home as things wound down, we stopped to shoot the TrackSTer with its Mustang counterpart, @jimmymmm’s Mustang GT on Air.
Though it was here for a short time, we won’t forget the visit any time soon.
Stay tuned for more features on the amazing vehicles that came out for the meet earlier this month. Interested in modding your Focus ST, or even Fiesta ST? Check out our guides, and then talk to the Mod Experts – call 714-582-3330 or just stop by the ModAuto showroom any time during business hours.
