This week we had this utterly stunning Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3 come through the shop. It made such an impression on us that we couldn’t let it leave without taking a few photos. The owner, Trey, a college student and Baseball player from Santa Barbara, brought his E46 in for an install and we asked him if we could snap a few photos of his car. Trey was pretty stoked about it, so the photos below are the result of our shoot.
While the Laguna Seca Blue is intense, the rest of this E46 is incredibly clean and simple; no unnecessary visual noise to distract from the natural curves of the M3.
It’s no surprise that this M3 has been shown at Bimmerfest before, looking as nice as this one does.
Trey first got to know Modbargains at Bimmerfest, which he attended back when it was still held in Santa Barbara. We’re enthusiasts too, so of course we love talking cars. So, when it came time to make a few changes to the M3, he gave us a call and cruised down to our shop.
Trey came to us all the way from Santa Barbara for his CSL Style Carbon Fiber Trunk, “When I drove down to pick up my CSL Trunk, they showed me around the shop, and I was really impressed with everything Modbargains had to offer.” Trey really enjoyed the service ModBargains’ Modification Experts provided, saying, “Everyone working at the Modbargains booth were really cool, and were more than happy to answer all of my questions.” We gotta say that the CSL trunk really sets off this M3.
After that first tweak, he seemed to have caught the “mod bug” that we are all too familiar with. He then finished off the rear end with the CSL Style Carbon Fiber Diffuser.
And continued with a simple, clean look installing Smoked Corners and Black Kidney Grills.
That gorgeous, rare Laguna Seca blue finish really sets the car apart, too, and the clean gloss really lends to the subtle, almost minimalist look of the car.
A certain badge in the fender grilles doesn’t hurt either – and the addition of these details doesn’t mean Trey is finished.
New BMW wheels are coming up on his mod list, along with some performance mods, like headers to help this Bavarian beast breathe a little easier.
Personally, I’m excited to see what direction he takes his M3 next- will he keep it simple or maybe go for something a little more visually bold? I guess we’ll have to wait and see..
– Thanks to Trey, for coming out to the shop and the photo-shoot!
