The other day this handsome VW Golf R came into the shop to lower the Mk 7 VW Golf R suspension with a set of KW Coilovers with help from Mod Expert Sean. As we’ve said before, lowering a car dramatically improves its appearance. Here’s one last look at the stock Golf R ride height and wheels before we get started. Beyond lowering a car’s ride height to eliminate the unsightly wheel gap, changing out your boring stock wheels makes a huge difference as well.
To address the ridiculously excessive wheelgap, we’re fitting this Mk 7 VW Golf R with a set of KW Coilovers for Mk 7 VW Golf R.
A set of adjustable coilovers allows you to custom tailor your ride to suit your tastes.

The thing about coilovers is that you have free range to adjust your ride height (within a certain range), allowing you to change your ride height and other settings any time you’d like. The HRE FF01’s sharp mesh face design works extremely well with the sharp edges and abrupt angles of the Mk VII VW Golf R’s front end.

The side profile is excellent as well.

Any way you look at it, the addition of the HRE Flow Form Wheels really sharpens the appearance of the Golf R.
