As we’ve said before and we’re sure to say again, wheels can change everything about a car’s appearance and character, which is what brought this Infiniti G37 in to see Mod Expert Kevin for an upgrade in rolling stock. As we mentioned in our guide to the Best Mods for Infiniti G37, the OEM G37 intake is overly restrictive and robs you of the induction note of the VQ-series V6, so Kevin also recommended a high performance STILLEN cold air intake to bolster its performance.
The OEM wheels aren’t the most terrible thing in the world, but they’re certainly not exciting and about as interesting as plain white wallpaper, so we’ll be changing those out for a set of beautiful custom Forgestar wheels.
We installed a Stillen Gen 3 Long Tube Cold Air Intake for Infiniti G37 good for a 18 horsepower gain to the rear wheels.
The STILLEN Cold Air intake relocates the air filters and inlets to a space inside the front bumper for more effective cold air induction.

The Infiniti G37 will accomodate some wiiiide rear wheels and meaty rear tires, so Kevin set the Forgestar CF5V Wheels up with a spect of 19×9.5 up front with a 19×10 rear, paired with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 Tires.
Here’s how the STILLEN intake looks installed.
The long, smooth streamlined intake tubes offer much better flow than stock, more power, and a more satisfying engine note when you stomp the go pedal.

The car’s still at stock ride height, though the owner tells us he is considering lowering the car soon.

The side profile of the car is great with the CF5V’s mounted, but the quarter view is really where it’s at, when the concavity of the CF5V really makes itself known.

From afar, the rear wheels’ concavity is especially evident, and the flowing lines of the CF5V work well with the G37’s design language.

A closer inspection of the front wheels reveals a slight concave to the front wheels as well.
