One of the few flaws of the F22 BMW M235i is its overly quiet exhaust, as we mentioned in our Best Mods for BMW M235i / F22 2-Series guide. An exhaust gives your car character and really makes a difference you’ll notice every single time you drive the car, which is exactly why this F22 came in for a visit with Sr Mod Expert Alan Wei to install an Exhaust for F22 M235i.
Here’s a look at the factory exhaust system.
We opted to go with a Remus Sport Exhaust for F22 M235i, spec’d out with the Carbon Fiber trimmed Street Race tip option.
The Remus Exhaust maintains the OEM valved exhaust system, but also gives the car a deeper, more authoritative exhaust note and a bit more power as well, not to mention the visual improvement offered by those handsome Street Race Tips.
Remus’ Axle-back systems are designed to install very quickly as a direct bolt on – heck, they once did a demonstration doing a race to see who would finish first between a woman getting ready for a date versus a team installing a Remus Axleback. As you’d expect of a system designed to install quickly and easily, the fitment is spot on.

The rear profile already looks much improved, but we had to take it outside to really appreciate the look.
Here’s how the system looks installed and on the ground – the Street Race tips fill the exhaust openings more fully, giving the car a more powerful look.
