The E61 BMW 535i X-Drive Touring isn’t exactly an easy vehicle to get parts for – sure it has that desirable turbo six under the hood, but the X-Drive makes things a bit more complicated. In order to lower the car, you need coilovers that can clear the All-Wheel-Drive system. Fortunately, Mod Expert Blake was able to suggest some options for lowering the E61 BMW 5-Series suspension that would work. Blake recommended a set of KW Coilovers for BMW E61, specifically for an E61 with x-Drive. Since the KWs feature a stainless steel finish, these are in ideal choice for something that might see snow like this 535i X-Drive. We’d love to have this 5er on our next ski trip.
Out install techs got everything together and then it was time to put the car on the ground to take a look at the new ride height.
The Long Roof profile of the 535i wagon really looks great with a drop, and the right set of wheels for BMW 5-series can really make the look.
The KW Coilovers are a solid choice that’ll stand up to the elements for years to come but also offers a huge improvement in handling performance.
We hope you enjoyed the photos and video, and we’ll see you next time!
