This is an oldie but a goodie we found in our archives and it was too good to just leave it be and let it rot in the archives, especially not with so many Challengers on the blog lately. We’ve been wrenching on the Dodge LC Challenger platform for quite some time now, but check out this example:

This a Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, and with a big body car like a Challenger, you need a large diameter wheel to make it look right, and the Challenger is the only modern musclecar on which a chrome or polished wheel still looks remotely appropriate. Wearing a set of Concept One Wheels spec’d at 22×9 et20 up front and 22×10.5 et25 in the rear, this set Challenger Wheels looks seriously sinister.Concept-One-RS-55-22x9et20-22x105et25-2012-challenger-392-hemi-img003

The silver machined face and polished lip is a perfect analog for chrome, tying in beautifully with the quad exhaust tips and the Challenger’s deliciously retro chrome fuel door.

As we’ve said a hundred times before, a set of wheels can really make the look of any car, and on a Challenger in particular, the right wheels are key to making it look like the beast it is.

We hope you like the photos!
