While most everything else got the N55 for the 2011-13 model years in E92s, the E92 BMW 335is kept rocking the beastly twin turbo N54 for quite some time after. Jamie C has been modding his 335is for a while, and now it was time to give the car some cosmetic attention with some help from Sr Mod Expert Alan Wei.
Up front, the car already boasts a VRSF 7in Front Mount Intercooler for BMW 335is, significantly dropping charge temps by massively increasing intercooler frontal surface area and core volume. A cooler air charge makes a huge difference in the E92s performance.
Under the hood, the E92 Intake has been replaced with a high flow Injen Cold Air Intake for N54 BMW 335i and 335is models, offering a 10whp / 12wtq gain.
The front end has had a CPS Carbon Fiber Front Lip for BMW E92 3-series with M-sport Bumpers (like all 335is’ are equipped with) as a base, and then dials up the aggression further with an APR Performance Front Splitter.
Out back, a custom rear diffuser adds an extra bit of flair to the 335is rear bumper’s existing ‘diffuser’.
The APR Performance front splitter really adds an extra aggressive look to the car.
We recently caught up with Jamie at our ModNights BMW E-Chassis meet, and had the opportunity to take a few photos.
We hope you enjoyed the photos – thanks for joining us once again.
