Over the past few months, Anthony D has been working with Mod Expert Sean to turn his E93 BMW 335i cabrio into a gorgeous Alpina tribute. We’re suckers for cabrios over here, so we relished the opportunity to shoot a tasteful cabrio build.Lowered on BC Racing Coilovers for BMW E93 335i Cabriolet, the stance of the car is incredible, and with the top down, the black Alpina wheels keys in beautifully with the black interior.
The Gloss black BMW Performance Kidney Grilles have been treated to Alpina badging with a hood emblem to match, creating a clean, upscale aesthetic. Under the hood, an Injen Intake for BMW 335i sharpens throttle response and acceleration, as well as a much richer, more satisfying engine note to enjoy with that top down.
Anthony’s also taken care of that infamous “ticking time bomb” under the hood by replacing the failure prone OEM plastic chargepipes with an Evolution Racewerks Chargepipe for BMW N54 to keep the boost from escaping, which has the added benefit of dramatically enhancing throttle response and spool in gears 1-3.Lowered on a set of BC Racing Coilovers for BMW E93 Cabrio, the car is lowered exactly as much as it need to be. Paired with the Painted Front Reflectors for BMW E93 328i/335i, it’s an incredibly clean look.
The cohesiveness of the theme is what helps give this Alpina tribute such a clean look, and all the small details add up to make a difference, like the Smoked LED Strip Side Markers for BMW E92/E93.
Anthony’s eye for detail is what makes it all work – the gloss black wheels in a large diameter fitment and a multispoke flush face wheel design looks almost like something Alpina might’ve done, and the black of the wheels keys into the gloss black grilles which ties into the sidemarkers. It’s this kind of attention to the little things that sets cars like this apart in a sea of other modified cars. The rear profile is especially sharp. We gotta say, BMW knows how to design a gorgeous droptop. The Alpina rear badge is a nice finishing touch. Anthony keeps changing the details and the car keeps evolving, so we can’t wait to update you on what he’s done next. Rumor has it a Remus Exhaust is in the forecast… we’ll see!
