Sometimes you need something special to get the look you want. As we’ve said before, the factory wheels that come with most Porsche vehicles often aren’t very easy on the eyes, which can keep your Porsche’s gorgeous curves from looking as good as they really are.
That’s why Chad H reached out to the Mod Experts when he was looking for a set of wheels for 991 Porsche 911 to give his 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S that extra spice it needed. Chad got in touch with Co-Founder/CEO Mike Brown, who helped him order this set of bespoke custom-finished HRE Flow Form Wheels.

Mike ordered Chad this set of custom Fog powdercoated HRE FF01 Wheels for Porsche in a 20 in fitment, opting for a beefy 20×8.5 up front and 20x11s in the rear to fill out the Porsche’s wide hips. The Carrera S is already low from the factory with the sport suspension package, so it looks great from afar, though there’s still a bit of wheelgap that could be eliminated, it’s not a glaring eyesore like it is on most other cars.

The ride height at the rear looks good and sits pretty low.

Scope out the look of the fitment in the rear. The HRE’s fill out the wheel arches beautifully.

The overall effect is fantastic, the Fog finish really sets these HREs apart in a crowd, the darker tone bringing out the curves in the 991’s profile and stands out a bit more than the standard Liquid Silver finish.

From the front looking rearward, you can really see the subtle concavity in the rear wheels, creating greater visual depth.

We have to say that we love the Fog finish on the HRE FF01s – just a set of wheels really makes the 911 Carrera S look “finished”.
