From a far, this may look like your run-of-the-mill BMW E90 335i. But look closely or see it at the track, and you’ll quickly find out that it is actually much more.

Rodger Ecclefield is the owner of this performance focused E90. Working closely with Modification Experts Elliott Goodman and Michael Chen, Rodger has started to modify this E90 just the way he wants. After talking with Rodger, it’s easy to say that he wants to go fast, look good while doing so, and isn’t afraid to work on his own car. Under the hood, Rodger has a BMW 335i Injen Intake, BMW N54 oil catch can, Evolution Racewerks Competition Front Mount Intercooler, and Evolution Racewerks Diverter Pipe w/ a Tial Q Blow Off Valve. Quite the range of performance mods.

But that isn’t all. Rodger takes his E90 out to the strip (drag strip that is), so he needs a little more something. He also has a COBB Stage 2 Tune, and Cobb Catback Exhaust. These mods help Rodger run a 1/4 mile in 12.485 seconds. His 0-60 is also a 4.309! Not bad for a E90.

But Rodger hasn’t only done performance mods. He actually has done quite a bit of custom work himself.

Rodger also has Carbon Fiber Kidney Grilles, Carbon Fiber Front Splitters, Carbon Fiber Eyelids and Mirror Covers. The silver grille piece he painted on his own, and he has also done some custom work on the foglights, adding a nice personal touch.

Out back, Rodger has added some smoked LED tail lights and installed a custom “COBB” badge to the left of the center BMW logo. IMG_5421
And to top it all off, Rodger is a vetaran from the Vietnam War, so he flys the stars and stripes proudly on his 335i.

In all, this seems like a relatively tame E90, but it is actually a modified drag racing machine with a personal touch. Great job by Elliott and Michael helping Rodger mod his E90 the way he wanted to, and a big thanks Rodger for letting us do this photoshoot of your car, and thank you for protecting our country!
