Perhaps you’re looking to spice things up on your newly acquired C8 Corvette. As you can hear, AWE is really pumping up the volume on the C8. Both systems feature 3” CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-made .065” wall T304L stainless steel, bolt-on installation, and a straight-through design to add max gains of 19 hp and 15 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels. Both are available for pre-order and you have the choice of the more civilized Touring Edition or the rowdy Track Edition. The entire exhaust pack has been tested at the drag strip, on the track, and on the street long term and comes with a lifetime warranty directly from AWE.
It may be that you’re someone at the intersection of ‘sophistication and aggression’ from the words of AWE themselves—the Touring Edition Exhaust offers a dual 3” T304L stainless steel cat-back configuration. It has the ideal dose of steel for drivers looking for straight-pipe performance without sacrificing perfect daily drivability: a deep, sophisticated, exotic exhaust note with zero drone at highway speeds and in V4 mode! In terms of styling, the quad 4.5″ double-walled slash-cut tips can be acquired in chrome silver or diamond black.
AWE came up with an innovative asymmetric design that allowed for some space-saving and removed unwanted restriction in flow. Engine movement is notably isolated with robust internally-lined stainless steel flex sections which enables life-long durability. This combination gave AWE the opportunity to create a bespoke cross-over section with entries from both the top and the bottom producing a rich and aggressive exhaust note from the LT2 at all engine speeds. The Touring Edition features AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology, which has an intention of, defeating the dreaded in-cabin tone change when switching between V4 and V8 modes.
Some of us have siblings and you shouldn’t be surprised that the Touring Edition Exhaust System has one as well. AWE created their Track Edition for those who like it raw, rowdy, and light. The Track Edition shares the same bespoke design and precision engineering as its Touring Edition counterpart, subtracting AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology, providing a weight savings of 39 lbs over stock. The Track Edition straight pipe replaces AWE’s 180 technology. As a result, this version is known to get rowdy during mid-range acceleration and deceleration, as well as becoming more noticeable within the cabin during V4 mode.
