BMW’s new line of turbo fours are incredibly potent, churning out more power stock than a 2.0L four has any right to – and they’ve got the torque to push around a F10 BMW 5-series, to boot. Given their excellent fuel economy and the F10 body, the F10 BMW 528i is incredibly popular- but in stock trim its exterior can leave a bit to be desired. Such was the case of Andrew W, who wanted to make his 5 a bit more exciting, so he sought the help of Sr Mod Expert Alan Wei to give the 5 the makeover it needed.
Andrew’s F10 already sports a front lip, giving the car a much different look than any other F10 we’ve seen on the street (we haven’t been able to ID what lip this is), but it looks great. The rear end, however, was lacking in character and personality. Alan recommended a Remus Exhaust system to give the 528i a bit more character with a refined yet more muscular exhaust note and a new look with quad tips. Remus Exhaust systems are a favorite among BMW enthusiasts for their high quality and excellent tone.
Here’s how the rear end looked before we got to work.
The Remus Dual Exit Quad Tip Exhaust for F10 BMW 523/528i features a specially designed exhaust carryover to allow the 528i to accommodate the dual exit configuration.
The Carbon fiber accents on the 84mm Street Race Tips of the Remus Quad Exhaust for F10 BMW 528i adds a lovely bespoke touch. The Remus Quad Exhaust also comes complete with a template so that you cut exactly the perfect shape exhaust openings.
The system installs quickly and easily – Remus says their axleback exhaust systems can be installed in less time than it takes a woman to shower and get ready (no, we didn’t make that up, Remus really did such a thing timing a woman getting ready vs an exhaust install). Here’s how the system looks freshly installed in the shop. But shop light is dark, so we took it outside for a few more shots.
The Quad exhaust looks great out in the light and the change in look and sound will definitely make this F10 more fun to drive.
