At ModBargains, we salute those who serve – we offer a Military Discount to Active Duty servicemembers, and we get a special satisfaction from helping our servicemen and women make their cars look, sound and drive better- and earlier this week we put some work in on US Army Sgt Mark Della’s E85 BMW Z4 to make his already sharp looking roadster even better looking. Mod Expert Robert has been helping Sgt Della with his build and clued us into this Z4 coming in.
We’d previously installed a set of VMR VB3 Gunmetal wheels to give the Z4 that classic “BMW CSL look”, but needed the drop in ride height to make Sgt Della’s Z4 look its best and eliminate the wheelgap. Being an aging vehicle, the factory shocks and struts are long since donezo, so replacing both is a great idea for both enhancing performance beyond stock as well as a good idea.
Here’s how the ST Coilovers look installed into the stock suspension.
While we were under the car, we also noticed the Remus Exhaust for BMW Z4 that had already been installed, featuring two of Remus‘ trademark carbon fiber trimmed “Street Race” tips.
The Remus Exhaust for BMW Z4 gives the car a much more authoritative exhaust note and the tips dramatically improve its rear end profile.

From further back, you can really see how the larger tips fill out the rear valance more fully.

Up front, this Z4 wears a custom 1M front Bumper, giving it an extremely aggressive, one of a kind look. After installing the coilovers, an alignment was necessary – and since there’s not really a settling period on the ST’s, this was fine.

The interior sports a healthy dose of carbon fiber accents to drive home the sporty aesthetic.

Up front, a set of Matte Black Kidney Grilles for BMW Z4 complete the look created by the 1M Front Bumper and the smoked Spyder Projector Headlights for BMW Z4.
Speaking of the Spyder projector headlamps – these headlights create more of the look of a later LCI car, adding an LED running lamp and a new projector setup with dual halo rings.
