As our regular readers will probably remember, we recently came out with a line of colored Start/Stop Buttons for BMW F-Chassis Vehicles. We started with just Red buttons but quickly started producing a Blue version for who either didn’t like red or had interior trim pieces that would work better with a softer color. They’ve been a huge hit with our customers, but on social media we keep getting questions like “I have an E92, will this button work?” or “Is there any way to make this work with an older BMW?”. We heard it so often that we figured we should probably look into what could be done for our customers with E-Chassis vehicles. It took a couple months but we’re happy to say we’ve now released a series of buttons just for our E-Chassis customers.

 

 

As with our F-Chassis Buttons, these E-Chassis Buttons can fit any model E-Chasses so long as they were fitted with factory Start/Stop Buttons. That means whether you have an E82 1 Series or an E60 M5, or even an E70 X5, these buttons will mount right up and work like factory (for a full list of vehicles scroll to the bottom of this article). We made sure we got both Blue and Red Buttons so everyone had the same color options and no one felt forgotten. We also decided to offer an Black Button as well because some customers might have stock buttons that are wearing out but prefer to keep it looking OEM.

 

 

The install process of the button is not very different from the F Chassis button but it does involve some prying of panels so you should definitely check out our install video below to see if it’s a process you feel comfortable handling or if you will need to take it to a shop.

 

As you can see, the button looks great! Fits like new and works just like the factory button, back-lighting and all. It’s one of the simplest things you can do to your car to give it a more more modern and unique touch.
