Back in May, we got the very rare opportunity to attend an exclusive invite-only car show at Toyota HQ in California for people in the automotive community – we shot quite a few photos and finally got the chance to edit and process all of these for your enjoyment.
We modify quite a few Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ here – we hosted 86 Day 2014 – and 86 Day 2015 is just days away – so we figured there was no better time than now to catch up and share some of these photos with all of you.
Wonderfully, snacks were provided in the form of several food trucks, including our friends at The Grilled Cheese Truck who visited ModAuto a few months back on Grilled Cheese Day.
We walked the show and shot these photos of what we thought were some of the most interesting FR-S and BRZs on display at the show.
I’m pretty sure this is one of the few events where these guys were able to just kick back and be normal car guys rather than a “Famous Drifter”. Ken Gushi and Ryan Tuerck are actually pretty cool people.
We really liked the body colored endplates on the front splitter and the TRD FR-S wheels looked great too.
“Fixed the torque dip!”
All in all the show was pretty great and we got a look at builds we’ve only seen pictures of firsthand – there were quite a few amazing cars we didn’t include here, since this was just FR-S and BRZs.
On our way back from the show, we also spotted one or two familiar cars, allowing us to snap one or two awesome rolling shots.
If you’re looking for some Scion FR-S parts yourself, including some FR-S Suspension parts, or more Scion FR-S exterior parts, be sure to stop by ModBargains.com, or check out our blog post on how to get the most out of your FR-S/BRZ.
