In the weeks preceeding SoCal Euro 2015, we had a flurry of activity here in the ModAuto shop. Now that things have slowed down, we have had a chance to go through the photos to show you guys all the hard work we put in to have this F82 BMW M4 modded and show ready in time. Since this is a street-driven daily driver, like the vast majority of what we work on here, we didn’t do anything completely insane, but rather, focused on building a really badass-looking, unique and daily-driveable M4.
When it comes to high pressure projects that demand a lot of attention, Sr Mod Expert Alan Wei is always the man with the cool head that somehow always manages to make it all happen.
We’ll start with cutting out the stock exhaust- as you can see, we’d already installed a Performance Style Carbon Fiber Diffuser for F82 BMW M4 – but more on that later. We’ll be fitting a Remus Axle-Back Exhaust for F82 BMW M4 to give the S55 under the hood a sound befitting a monstrous german turbo straight six.
Check out how the Remus setup looks before we install everything. As Exhausts for F82 BMW M4 go, the Remus Exhaust system is actually one of the most affordable, in both Axle-Back or Cat-Back form.
We’re huge fans of Remus Exhaust‘s trademark “Street Race” carbon fiber trimmed exhaust tips. These things are going to look BOSS on the M4. Alan recommended Quad 98mm CF Street Race tips for the perfect look for the M4.
Master Tech Dave and Assistant Juan made quick work of the install, but we weren’t done yet…
Yup, we had some Forgestar wheels lined up, but more on that later…
To give the front end a bit more of a unique, motorsports-inspired look, we installed a V1 Style Carbon Fiber Front Splitter for F82 BMW M4, then we installed OEM BMW Performance Gloss Black Kidney Grilles for BMW M4 and a set of BMW Performance Gloss Black Side Grilles for BMW M4 to match, and further cleaned up the front end with a set of BMW 2015+ F80 M3 and F82 M4 Painted Reflectors.
With those front end detals sorted, now it was time to get started on the suspension. You see Juan hard at work dismantling the factory front suspension.

Sr Mod Expert Alan Wei set the M4 up with a custom fitment for their Forgestar wheels, setting up Gloss Gunmetal Forgestar F14 Wheels in 19×10 Super Deep Concave up front with a 19×11 Super Deep Concave at the rear for a meaty, aggressive look perfect for the F82.
When you fit a car with a set of aftermarket wheels, it’s only natural to give the suspension a drop as well – Alan suggested a set of H&R Sport Springs for 2014+ BMW M4 [F82] to pull off the drop they were after.
The H&R Sport Springs for the BMW M4 drop the car some 1.3in up front and 1.2in at the rear for a moderate drop that you’re definitely going to notice. Here’s how the H&R Springs look fitted into the front suspension.

After we fitted the springs, at long last it was time to take the M4 off the rack to get a look and the end result.
