A while back we invited a bunch of friends and locals to come join us at the Mod Auto install shop for some delicious Grilled Cheese courtesy of the WesCom Credit Union, and we had quite a few interesting cars show up – in particular Victor Wu’s F80 BMW M3 really stood out. As the M3 only recently started showing up on the streets, Victor’s heavily modded F80 is a head turner wherever he goes. We’ll start with the obvious – the F80 M3 Exterior mods. Up front the car sports a BMW M Performance Front Splitter with Carbon Fiber Side Splitters for F8X BMW M3 to give the front end a bit more flair – and the subtle addition of a set of BMW Performance Gloss Black Kidney Grilles for BMW F80 M3 makes for a beautiful yet angry looking front end aesthetic.
Up close, the Carbon Fiber on the side splitters really stands out. It was a smart move on BMW’s part to make it a multi-piece, so in the highly-likely event that the car hits a dip or something that damages the plastic lower splitter, it’s easily replaceable and not stratospherically expensive to replace. Another clever mod you might not have otherwise noticed are a set of Painted Front Reflectors for F80 BMW M3, which contribute quite a bit to the clean appearance of this car’s front end.
And then there’s the stance that Victor’s pulled off. The F80 M3 Suspension sits nice and low courtesy of KW V3 Coilovers for BMW F80 M3. From this view we can also appreciate the Aerohaus Carbon Fiber Side Splitters on the side skirts and rear bumper – which pairs nicely with the Performance Style Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser for F80 BMW M3 – the Innotech Performance Exhaust for F80 BMW M3‘s burnt quad tips poking out of the openings.
Finishing off the rear end is a BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler for F80 BMW M3, which rounds out the carbon aesthetic. The Gloss Black Painted BMW M3 logo is another nice touch.
From this angle we can also see the BMW Performance Gloss Black Side Grilles for BMW F80 M3
The wheels for F80 M3 seen here aren’t exactly stock either – the beautiful mesh wheels with those deep dish polished lips are genuine BBS LM Wheels which have been rebarreled by Floss Designs to give the wheels a fitment of 19×10 / 19×12.5 front and rear, wrapped in beefy-yet-stretched Toyo Tires R888’s in 245/35-19 / 295/30-19 to pull off the one of a kind look and fitment you see here.
The exterior mods are by no means the whole story on Victor’s F80 – performance is dramatically enhanced thanks to a set of Evolution Racewerks Catless Downpipes for F80 BMW M3 feeding that Innotech Performance Exhaust system. Freeing up further power under the hood is a Arma Speed Carbon Fiber Intake System to keep that S55 breathing deep – and managing the brainpower for all of that is a Burger Tuning JB4 tuner which on its own nets a fat gain of 82whp/93wtq (ON A STOCK CAR on PUMP GAS!) so this F80 M3 definitely moves with authority.
While we didn’t get the chance to scope out the interior, Victor didn’t exactly skimp there either. Inside this M3, you’ll find a large chunk of the BMW Performance catalog for the F80 interior – a BMW Performance Alcantara Parking Brake/Boot for F80 M3, a BMW Performance Steering Wheel for F80 M3 and BMW Performance Carbon Fiber DCT Trim and upgraded BavSound speakers all makes the interior an even nicer place to be.
Thanks to Victor for letting us share his build with you and for taking the time to fill us in on all the hard work he’s done to make this F80 BMW M3 into the car you see today.
