With a 518hp 6.2L V8 growling under the bulging power dome hood, the R230 Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG is a mighty beast. As some of you who have taken your cars with nicer wheels to ordinary tire shops, the other guys often can’t get things quite right. Which is what brought this Teutonic beast in to see Mod Expert Robert about getting the TPMS sensors in the HRE Flow Form FF01 Wheels the owner recently purchased to actually talk to the car.
One of the things we pay extra careful attention to here at ModBargains install shop, ModAuto, is the TPMS, or tire pressure monitoring system equipped on the car – taking care to make sure we get the right version sensors, and have the specialty tools to get the sensors talking to the car.
Luckily for this AMG owner, we’re no stranger to Mercedes Benz or the extra care needed when you’re working with a set of quality wheels like the HRE FF01 Wheels for Mercedes Benz you see here, in a 20in liquid silver fitment, so our techs made quick work of getting the car talking to the sensors, giving us plenty of time to photograph this gorgeous SL63.
The car boasts a few little exterior accessories that give it some extra style, like this carbon fiber rear spoiler for Mercedes Benz R230 SL-class. The spoiler gives the rear end more of a sporting profile and lends a bit of aggression to its aesthetic. A set of Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers for Mercedes R230 SL ties into the other carbon fiber accents on the car for a more cohesive look.
The FF01s are a natural fit for the bodylines of the car.
The bright liquid silver finish works great with the dark gray paint color.
The front bumper of the R230 SL63 AMG is pretty aggressive as it is, and given that this car looks like a daily driver, it makes sense that he may not have a carbon fiber front splitter simply because he’d destroy it, but the anger and fury in the existing front end’s design language is plenty.
The rear of the car also boasts an aggressive carbon fiber rear diffuser, which with the AMG Exhaust, really completes the aggressive look of the car.
The etched AMG Logos are a nice touch on the exhaust tips. Check out how the exhaust tips totally fill out the rear diffuser, protruding just the slightest for that intimidating AMG muscle look.
There’s only so much we can say that the car doesn’t already say for itself. Check out the rest of the gratuitous photo gallery below.
With a little help from the Mod Experts, this SL63 AMG looks sharp enough to cut steel. We hope you enjoyed the photos! Thanks for joining us, see you next time!
