It’s not often we get an Evo in the shop, but it’s very much in our comfort zone. It’s a shame that the car ended production late last year but the 10th Gen Lancer Evolution was the best generation of the lot. On a tuner car like the Evo X, swapping out the factory wheels for a lightweight and beefy set of Forgestar Wheels is a huge improvement visually.

We set this Evo up with a set of 18×10 Forgestar F14 Wheels, finished in semigloss gunmetal for a clean and purposeful look. Given the Evo’s AWD system, we went with a square fitment across all four corners of the car, which fills out the car’s fenders beautifully. It’s amazing the car will accommodate a 10in wide wheel in factory configuration.

The Gunmetal finish works well with the car’ pearlescent gray paint, while the bright red of the Brembo brake calipers adds a nice visual accent.

For tires, a set of Federal 595 RS-R Tires was spec’d out at 255/35-18 to put the 4G63 power to the ground.
