I love the iconic E82 BMW 135i, it really brought back the spirit of the pure BMW – small, light, RWD, straight six, lots of power. They’re fun little cars but the stock E82 1-Series suspension can still leave a lot to be desired, from excessive wheelgap to unwanted bodyroll. With the Chris Bangle curves it already looks good, but a few tweaks makes it even better with some help from Mod Expert Sean.
After getting the exhaust partway mounted, the next step was swapping out the rear diffuser. We swapped out the OEM M-Sport rear diffuser in favor of this Carbon Fiber performance style rear diffuser for E82 1-Series, which accommodates the quad tips quite nicely.
Here’s a closer look at the exhaust and rear diffuser installed. You can even see the BC Racing coilovers in the rear.
With everything installed, we just had to take it off the lift and scope out our work!
Check out the finished look – the drop and the Sportline 8S Wheels pair brilliantly with the 1er, creating a gorgeous end result.
The rear profile looks just as good.
From the side profile, you can really see how well the CSL inspired styling of the Sportline 8S suits the E82.
