While you might not see a Subaru here at the shop every day, we’re certainly no stranger to cars with the Pleiades cluster badge, so it’s kind of cool when we get a 2015 Subaru WRX in the shop. Rocking a Perrin License Plate Delete, Strut Tower Brace, a Front Splitter and Mud Flaps, this WRX already had a few mods here and there when Michael L brought it in to see the Mod Experts, but it was missing two key components from its performance puzzle – wheels and suspension.
To lower the WRX suspension, we’d be installing a set of Swift Springs, which are regarded to be one of the best balanced springs for street use by many enthusiasts, and pairing those with a fresh set of wheels for the WRX. Enkei TS10s in 18×8.5 were the order of the day, matched with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 255/35-18 Tires on all four corners.
Lowered, it looks like the tuner car the WRX is supposed to be, and the bold lines are aggressive and masculine.
With the aggressive fitment filling out the fender arches and rocking those mudflaps, it’s not hard to see this car’s rallycar origins.
Scope out how good this thing looks from a few angles.
Here’s the rear view. The 8.5 width on the wheels lines up almost perfectly with the mudflaps for a well coordinated look.
Wheels and tires can both be your cars first mod or the finishing touch to really bring your build together – thanks for joining us, we hope you enjoyed the photos.
