Giving your Ponycar a drop can have a huge impact on its appearance – case in point, this Ruby Red beauty, brought in by Frank L for a visit with Mod Expert Sean. Even with the Performance Package, the wheels sit kind of inboard and the ride height still leaves a rather nasty amount of wheelgap.
To remedy the excess wheelgap, Sean set Frank up with a set of Eibach Pro-Kit Springs for Mustang EcoBoost to drop the car 1.2in front and rear.
However the drop alone just wasn’t enough, so to really get the most out of the car and get it looking the way it’s supposed to, a set of H&R Wheel Spacers were added to bring the wheels flush with the bodywork – though it doesn’t sound like a lot, it makes a huge difference in the car’s look and stance, making even these stock Performance Package wheels look good.
Check out the fitment. There’s still enough clearance for daily driving, but the car’s definitely lower than the “Performance Package” springs, for sure. Here’s the rear end.
This oblique shot really gives you an idea of how much better the wheels fill out the arches with the spacers installed.
Even with stock wheels, a drop and a set of spacers can make your mustang look utterly incredible. Thanks for joining us, we hope you enjoyed the photos.
