As we said in our 6 Best Mods for BMW E46 323i/325i/328i post a while back, just a few small changes can have a huge visual impact on your car. Such was the case with this E46 BMW 325ci that came in a few weeks ago. The difference just a set of wheels and a little bit of trim can make on the E46 was especially evident.
To match the black cabrio top, the Mod Experts installed a set of Matte Black V710 Wheels for BMW from VMR Wheels. The clean lines of the V710 helps evoke that classic “BMW” vibe and gives the 325i a much sportier character. Since Cabrios already sit very low from the factory, they look pretty good even without a drop. To give it the grip it needed to go with the wheels, we paired the VMR wheels with a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 Tires, one of the many BMW fitment tires we have in stock here at ModBargains.
Up front, the chrome of the factory kidney grilles really clashes with the rest of the BMW E46 Exterior, so we’ll be replacing those with a set of Matte Black Kidney Grilles for BMW E46, which will clean up the front end quite nicely.
After getting the wheels secure, we had the Cabrio back on the ground, and ready to take out into the sun.
Up front, the Matte Black Kidney Grilles for BMW E46 go wonderfully with the sporty Ci front bumper, both cleaning up the aesthetic of the front end while simultaneously making it more aggressive.
The matte black finish looks great, and frankly, I haven’t yet seen a BMW where I preferred the chrome to matte black kidney grilles yet.
The cabrio stance works great with the more sporting style of the V710s.
The No-Holes License Plate Holder for BMW E46 is another nice touch on this Cabrio that allows the car to both look good and be legally compliant (displaying a front plate).
With the blacked out grilles and matte black wheels, this E46 Cabrio looks ready to tear up Buttonwillow, making this soft top into something much more hard-edged.
