It’s downright incredible what a difference you can make it a car’s appearance. Michael Chen’s S550 Mustang has been through quite a few different looks in just the few months he’s had it. The 2015 S550 Ford Mustang GT has gone from stock to show-stopper – Looking at the incredible vehicle above, you’d likely call me a liar if I told you it was the same car as this one:
Now check out the rear view. Get a load of that massive wing. This is how Michael’s Mustang GT looked right after he got it, on stock wheels with a set of Eibach Springs for S550 Ford Mustang GT fitted to eliminate the wheelgap.

The HRE FF15’s multispoke, motorsports-oriented design lends itself well to the track-ready aesthetic Michael’s got going on.

It happened to be raining this particular day, giving us a chance to snap this beauty all dripping wet. The complete lack of grip and slick roads paired with dry weather competition tires makes the Mustang a handful, but manageable.

This is a car that’s serious about functional aero, from the massive APR Performance Front Splitter to the outlandish but incredibly effective rear wing to keep the car planted on the track when breaching triple-digit speeds on the straights of Big Willow.

The aero isn’t the only thing race ready about Michael’s S550 Mustang GT – a simple glance through the window makes that much clear, an Autopower Roll cage framing a pair of Sparco racing seats.

Looking forward, the stock wheel has been replaced with a race-duty Sparco steering wheel.

After fitting the HRE’s, it was time to align the Mustang for its next track outing.

Our flush-with-the-floor alignment rack is paired with a state of the art Hunter Alignment rig – and for all our specialties, we only charge $139 for an alignment, which is about what your average corner tire store or whatever will charge to do the same job using much less precise equipment – and will charge you a fee if you’re lowered.

After aligning the Mustang, the weather let up and we were able to get some great shots of the Mustang outside. Check it out for yourself.
